Empowering Vulnerable Communities: Targeted Outreach for PWIDs, including Comprehensive TB Screening, in Nairobi

People who inject drugs (PWIDs) or use illicit drugs are disproportionately affected by HIV, viral hepatitis, TB, and other infectious diseases. In Kenya, the prevalence of HIV among PWIDs is approximately 18.7%, which is a significant public health challenge. Additionally, PWIDs face numerous barriers, including stigma, discrimination, and poor health-seeking behavior, which hinder their access to essential healthcare services.
