Looking Forward

The Quarterly PrEP Review Meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all participants to strengthen PrEP integration and ensure more individuals can benefit from this preventative measure. By empowering PrEP Champions with enhanced skills and strategies, Ciheb-Kenya CONNECT Program and the Nairobi County Department of Health are taking significant steps toward reducing HIV transmission rates and improving public health outcomes.

 

Progress and Impact

Since October 2023 to June 2024, Ciheb-Kenya CONNECT Program has successfully initiated 9,652 individuals on PrEP, surpassing a target of 8,374 by 115%. During this period, 4,305 PrEP activities were recorded, including 744 restarts and 3,561 refills.
